Whether you're just starting out or looking to make a career change, we’ve got just the event to help you explore career training.1 Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and its family of schools are hosting our National TechTrade Expo on October 21.

This nationwide event is your chance to explore exciting career opportunities and discover the program that’s right for you!

Universal Technical Institute includes MIAT College of Technology, NASCAR Technical Institute, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and Marine Mechanics Institute and together, we offer 14 training programs in transportation, the trades and energy across our 16 campus locations.

Many different industries that we rely on daily also rely on experienced skilled trade workers, creating a true demand for technicians. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts that total technician employment is expected to exceed 1.7 million by 2031.53

Needless to say, there’s no shortage of training options or careers in-need. Now’s the time to take the first step toward your future and let us help you train for a career you’re passionate about!

How can attending our National TechTrade Expo benefit you? We’re glad you asked.

Explore Training Paths in Innovative Fields

We're all about innovation at UTI, and our training paths are proof of that. Our programs are designed in collaboration with the industry, meaning our students train how the industry trains. With industry-specific tools and technology, passionate instructors and hands-on time in the lab, our students can graduate as career-ready professionals.18

The TechTrade Expo is your golden ticket to explore these avenues and find out which one gets your heart racing. UTI offers 14 core training programs in addition to manufacturer-specific advanced training programs designed to elevate your skills and prepare you for the field. Whether you're into welding, automotive, diesel, motorcycle, marine trades, robotics and automation – or maybe an occupation you didn’t even know existed – we've likely got a program that'll suit you.

Tour Our Campus & Meet Our Staff Committed to Student Success

Nothing beats seeing things for yourself, right? That's why you've got to check out our campus during the expo. You’ll get to meet our awesome instructors who have real-world experience in the industry and staff who are genuinely committed to making our students shine. It's your chance to ask questions, soak up the vibes, and see what being part of the UTI community feels like.

On top of that, you’ll get to see the environment our students train in every day! You’ll be able to step foot in the classrooms and labs where you’ll be spending a lot of your time if you choose to enroll with us. Not only will you get to see this place, but you’ll get to experience it as well. You’ll have the chance to be part of live demos and truly see what a day in the life of a student looks like.

Uncover the Reasons Why Top Brands Hire Our Graduates

It’s not by chance that top brands have chosen our graduates.1 UTI offers leading  technical training, and it's reflected in the caliber of our alumni and our reputation in the industry. Over the last 55+ years, UTI has made it a priority to build brand relationships to ensure our training programs are in line with industry standards. Our industry connections help our students learn in conjunction with brands like Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Peterbilt, Cummins, Suzuki, Harley Davidson, Mercury Marine, and more.15

At the expo, you’ll have the opportunity to understand the factors that help our graduates stand out. The curriculum, the hands-on experience, the industry connections – all of these contribute to why UTI graduates have been hired by some of the world’s most recognizable brands.

See How We’re Helping to Make Training Affordable

We don’t think financial constraints should stop you from chasing your dream career. That's why we're helping to make our training programs affordable. At the expo, you can find out all about the scholarships and grants that could help cover your education costs. UTI is making more than $15 million in scholarships and grants available to those who qualify this year alone!10

We also offer plenty of other services and resources to our students. We're here to help you turn your career dreams into reality.
